NeighborStars Financial Policy

Effective Date: May 26, 2025

This Financial Policy governs payment processing, cancellations, refunds, and dispute resolution for all sessions booked through the NeighborStars platform. By using our services, users agree to the following terms.

1. Payments to Coaches

  • Coaches must confirm that a session has been completed by marking it as “Completed” within 10 hours after the scheduled end time in the NeighborStars App.

  • Payments to Coaches will only be processed if the session is confirmed within this timeframe and no dispute has been raised.

  • Sessions that are not confirmed within the 10-hour window are not eligible for payment.

2. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Players may cancel a session at least 12 hours prior to the scheduled start time to receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations made within 12 hours of the scheduled start time are non-refundable, regardless of circumstances.

  • Exceptions to this policy are only granted in cases where a valid dispute is submitted and approved (see Section 3).

3. Dispute Resolution

  • If a Player experiences issues with a session—including but not limited to a Coach no-show, inappropriate conduct, or other session-related problems—they must notify NeighborStars within 10 hours after the scheduled session end time.

  • Disputes must be submitted through the contact form on our website.

  • Disputes submitted after the 10-hour window will not be reviewed.

  • NeighborStars will evaluate disputes on a case-by-case basis and may issue a refund or take other action at its sole discretion.

4. Chargebacks and Fraudulent Activity

  • Unauthorized transactions or chargeback requests may result in the suspension or termination of the associated account.

  • NeighborStars may share user and transaction information with payment processors to support dispute resolution.

5. Compliance and Legal Obligations

  • Coaches are solely responsible for reporting their earnings and complying with all applicable tax laws.

  • All Coaches using the platform must be authorized to work in the United States and must comply with NCAA guidelines.

  • This policy is subject to and governed by the NeighborStars Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
